Safety & Usage Instructions
Please read these instructions before installing or using your Teraglide platform.
Installation & Lifting
- The platform can be heavy. Do not lift it alone.
- Install it in stages: base frame first, then drawer, then sliding cover or bed panel.
- Always secure the platform to the factory anchor points using the supplied straps.
- Do not use the platform unless it is properly fastened.
- Do not drive with the platform open or extended. Always fold it fully into the trunk before driving.
Moving Parts & Pinch Points
Take care when using the lift-up cover, sliding bed panel, drawer system, and clip-on table.
- Keep hands and fingers away from hinges, runners, and sliding areas.
- Always supervise children around the platform.
Moisture & Care
- If the platform gets wet from spills, rain, or condensation, dry it fully before storing.
- Do not leave the platform exposed to long-term rain or standing water.
- Wood is a natural material. Small hairline cracks or splits can appear and usually do not affect function.
- Store the platform in a dry place when not in use.
- Bamboo parts, such as the clip-on table, should be oiled or stained regularly to protect the surface.
Maintenance
- Check and tighten all bolts and joints regularly.
- If something feels loose or squeaks, tighten it before use.
- Keep the platform away from open flames and heat sources. It is not fire-resistant.
Weight Limits
- Main drawer: up to 80 kg, evenly distributed.
- Clip-on table: up to 15 kg.
- Bed platform: tested to support up to 180 kg of distributed weight.
- Do not jump on the platform or apply sharp, concentrated pressure.
- Headrest extension panel: use only with side wings installed and with straps where instructed, usually for small cars.
- Do not use the headrest extension panel alone without supports. It may be unstable.
Driving & Transport
Teraglide platforms are designed for comfort and travel convenience. They are not crash-protection devices.
- This product has not been crash-tested.
- It is not certified as a vehicle safety device.
- Treat it like any other large load inside your vehicle.
- Always fold the platform fully into the trunk before driving.
- Always secure it with straps or suitable anchor points.
- Never drive with the platform unfolded or partly extended.
- Do not rely on the platform to restrain cargo during a collision.
Important
- Use the platform with care.
- Supervise children when the platform is in use.
- You are responsible for securing the unit properly during use and transport.
- Failure to follow these instructions may cause injury, vehicle damage, or void your warranty.
